We had a chance late last month to visit The Great Movie Ride one last time before it closes August 13th. No one is really sure why it is closing, especially so suddenly, but cast member speculation is that Turner Classic Movies declined to renew their sponsorship of the ride. This is a huge loss to a park that's already had several attractions close in the last couple of years as construction on two separate and new lands got underway. While we are all eagerly anticipating Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land, losing yet another staple attraction in Hollywood Studios is quite a loss right now. TGMR will reportedly be replaced by a Mickey & Minnie themed rollercoaster. Will the Chinese Theater building be torn down? If so, what will this parks icon be? Will the currently popular projection and fireworks shows at center stage continue? I guess we will have to wait and see.

We finally did spot her cast member handler off to the side, but when the Evil Queen wanted to alert the line she would only be there for 5 more minutes, she did that herself. There were no rope lines and no frenzy whatsoever. Just another way that I found Disneyland Resort to be much more laid back than Walt Disney World. Again, here's a last minute totally unplanned pic with the famous mouse couple Mickey and Minnie! They were hanging out just outside the theater w...
